Have you once asked yourself the question:
‘How does homeopathy actually work?’
‘What happens to the globes in my body?’
‘How does the remedy get into the globe?’
These seem to be very easy questions, and yet homeopathy is one of the topics in natural sciences and medicine that are most complicated to explain.
In order to elicit some of the secrets from the phenomenon homeopathy the Interdisciplinary Homeopathic Research Group (Interdisziplinärer Homeopathischer Arbeitskreis - IHAK) was founded in 1999 kindly supported by the Austrian Chamber of Pharmacists Provincial Office Vienna.
The objective of the IHAK is to develop explanation models for the homeopathic mode of action within an interdisciplinary, academic and science-oriented roundtable discussion of the fields of pharmacy, medicine, biochemistry, physics and psychology.
Homeopathy is wide-known and has a high significance as a traditional and efficient healing method with patients and costumers.
The health care system is in a period of upheaval; hence great importance will be attached to the use of homeopathy and complementary medicine in the future.
Reliability and scientific processing are the prerequisites with which we can face the reversal of the trend with new areas of responsibility.
Thus our question: ‘how’ does homeopathy ‘work’?
In order to answer this question
# scientific publications on the saving of information
of the potentiated remedy in globes and dilutions are necessary.
# there has to be collaboration with internationally renowned researchers and
interdisciplinary co-operation.
# quantitative and qualitative analytical methods have to be
developed in order to ensure the most optimal quality of homeopathic remedies.
# new combinations of remedies have to be developed – homeopathy
and classical medicine
e.g. in oncology and intensive care medicine with the objective
of reducing side effects.
# new procedures for the testing and new methods have to be
developed.
Homeopathy in the future – new dimensions of research
Homeopathy cures a larger percentage of cases than any other method of treatment
and is beyond all doubt safer and more economical and the most complete medical
science.
